INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

One-to-one work with the people at the heart of sport. Athletes, coaches, and parents, supported in a way that fits their world.

Back to all support
ONE-TO-ONE

Every athlete, coach, and parent sits inside a bigger story.

Individual work with us starts with listening. We take time to understand what you’re navigating, what matters to you, and where you want to grow. From there, we tailor the support to fit your sport, your stage, and your life.

01 / ATHLETES Athlete on the athletics track

Support for athletes at every stage.

From emerging talent to established professionals, we work alongside athletes to strengthen the mental side of performance and protect wellbeing along the way.

  • Performance psychology and mental skills development
  • Managing pressure, nerves, and performance anxiety
  • Confidence, identity, and navigating setbacks
  • Return-to-play after injury or a tough period
  • Transitions: selection, debut, retirement, or a new level
  • Goal setting, focus, and pre-performance routines

Sessions can be in person across Aotearoa or online, and are designed to fit training, study, or work commitments.

02 / COACHES Coach working with athletes

Support for coaches who want to grow their craft.

Coaching is relational work. We help coaches build the self-awareness, communication, and confidence to get the best from their people, without losing themselves along the way.

  • One-to-one coach mentoring and reflective practice
  • Coach wellbeing, identity, and sustaining a long career
  • Navigating difficult conversations with athletes, staff, and parents
  • Leadership, team culture, and selection decisions
  • Managing your own pressure, setbacks, and transitions

A note on coach conversations

Some coaches also come to us specifically to strengthen their conversations with athletes. We offer individual coaching grounded in Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based way of working that helps coaches have more effective, values-led conversations: the kind that draw out motivation, deepen trust, and support real behaviour change.

03 / PARENTS Parent supporting from the sideline

Support for the people behind the athlete.

Parents and whānau often carry a lot of the invisible load in youth and developing sport. We offer a calm, practical space to talk things through and find the role that works for you and your child.

  • Understanding the pressures young athletes face today
  • Supporting your child through selection, setbacks, and big moments
  • Finding the right balance between involvement and space
  • Navigating sideline life, club politics, and tricky relationships
  • Looking after your own wellbeing as a sport parent

Parent sessions can be one-off or ongoing, and can include both parents or whānau members where helpful.
